GREEN Engineering Technology is a small learning community at San Lorenzo High School dedicated to preparing students for the growing industry of Green Technology - now the fastest-growing job sector in the state!

Students enter the program as 9th graders, and are supported by a small group of rigorous, caring teachers. Integration of environmental themes and hands-on activities into the curriculum increases student engagement at the same time that it prepares students for future opportunities. Environmental literacy is now a primary requirement for jobs in nearly every industry - GET students will be ready for these opportunities!
Green Academy
At the end of their freshman year, students can choose to enroll in the Green Academy program, which provides more focused technical training and professional development. Students in the program:
- concurrently earn credit from Merritt College;
- are campus leaders for a wide range of environmental initiatives;
- work with community leaders on a variety of projects;
- represent the school at various Bay Area networks and events;
- participate in senior internships;
- and receive technical training and expertise that prepares them for futures in engineering, green construction, alternative energy, habitat restoration, and more.
